What we collect

HailConnect collects the information you give us when you create an account: your name or company name, email address, password, account type, and any profile details, photos, or ID documents you choose to add for verification. We also keep records of jobs, bids, and messages you post through the platform.

Storm data

Hail reports, forecasts, and radar data on HailConnect come from public NOAA / National Weather Service sources. That data is public information and is not tied to you.

Advertising measurement

HailConnect advertises on Google. When advertising measurement is active, Google sets cookies and similar technologies so we can count when an ad click leads to an account sign-up, and so Google can measure and improve ad performance. This shares with Google the fact of a visit and sign-up event, along with standard technical data (such as IP address and device information) that Google processes under its own terms.

Visitors in regions that require consent for advertising cookies (including the EU/EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland) do not have advertising measurement enabled and Google ads tags do not load for them.

You can opt out of Google advertising personalization at adssettings.google.com. For details on how Google handles data when it works with partners like us, see business.safety.google/privacy.

How we use your information

  • To operate your account and the dispatch board, jobs, and alerts.
  • To verify contractor identities where you request verification.
  • To send you storm alerts and service emails you have opted into.
  • To measure whether our advertising leads to sign-ups.

Your choices

You can update your profile or delete your account from your dashboard. You can turn notification emails on or off in your notification settings. Questions about your data can be sent through the contact options on our FAQ page.
